Maybe they'll manage to win the game, whatever that means, and he'll get to come back... whatever that means. Maybe he was right, and this world is some kind of virtual simulation, and dying doesn't actually mean dying. Maybe the Chiefs will pull the rug out from under them again and decide the verdict was a big joke, but that's the most unlikely of all the options, really.
